During our journey in this world, I and you will learn many lessons. Amongst the lessons I learnt is Allah is not only my Creator but my true friend. We all search for a friend we can trust. He has blessed us with people to associate, to help and to support but not depend on their presence in our lives because their existence whether close or far is not everlasting. We meet and we greet and then after some time the communication reduces and we move on with our lives. Very few will be present from A to Z.
So I want you to imagine a real friend that does not leave you alone and whose love, protection and care is everlasting. He is trustworthy and doesn't gossip. He does not spy on you. He knows what is in your heart and mind, thus, He meets all your needs before you even realise. He sees. He hears. He forgives. He wishes the best for you. He is merciful. He understands. He supports. He truly loves you - this infinite friend is Allah. With His support and strength, it warms my heart. He even blessed me with my parents who support me and go out their way. They would not exist in my life without Allah's intervention. This emphasises we need Allah, the Most High at every single breath and every act we do. “No, Allah is your Protector. And He is the best of helpers.” [Surah Al ‘Imran, verse 150] His love for His mankind cannot be replaced with anyone' affection and He sends down His serenity on His servants just as one of His names called 'Al-Mawla' meaning The Protector and friend. “… hold fast to Allah. He is your Protector – the Best Protector, the Best Helper.” [Surah al-Hajj, verse 78] “...in front of him and behind him, guarding him by Allah’s command” [Surah Rad, verse 11] Allah is my sole companion.
