Welcome
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Peace with you, Hope you are well during the COVID-19 pandemic. Chemical Bonding. Hmm. What is it about? I sat down one evening and was thinking of some ideas for future projects and discussed it with one of my brothers and my husband. We developed this idea of doing a theme on relationships because the social-distancing has made a large impact on different forms. What kind of relationships? All types. I wanted to provide an element of hope and positivity for everyone. For instance, you identify the vanilla beans extracted from the orchid, when it is dried, it does not have a nice appearance but provides a strong aroma to be used for baking, sauces, custards and ice-creams. Similarly, the COVID-19 pandemic is a blessing in disguise, no matter what impact it had; there are countless blessings to be thankful for. This is what I believe. I would like you to believe that too. Have faith. Despite bonding and attachment are used to describe our emotions and feelings verbally and non-verbally with other human beings and nature itself, there is a difference between both phrases. Bonding is more in-depth and long-term, whereas attachment is built over time and can be temporary. In each concept, it can be secured but requires a level of understanding. I wanted to include some chemistry into this project because relationships represent chemical bonds. Tracing back to my chemistry lessons, we were taught that all living things are made up of atoms that interact with other atoms or even groups of them to form molecules and compounds respectively. The connections or chemical bonds are what causes atoms to hold together. For instance, some relationships such as that with Allah (The Most High) have strong intramolecular interactions. Other examples include a parent with a child, a husband and wife, between siblings and other forms. There are love and understanding just like sharing electrons that occur in covalent bonding. Some personalities are opposite but can still bond together such as that observed in marriages and friendship. This can be compared to that of ionic bonds where metals and non-metals are joined together. Other relationships are open for example with professional relationships or with your teachers/lecturers, communication and team-working is what makes the relationship strong. You can become flexible (ductile) to alter your schedule and plan time to achieve targets and conduct electricity where you work under pressure. However, in reality, not all relationships are strong such as covalent and ionic bonding, some bonds are weak such as that observed in intermolecular forces, for instance, hydrogen bonding and dipole-dipole interactions, however, they ultimately add value to our lives as a lesson or a blessing. Therefore, relationships vary with the wavelength in a spectrum and this project aims to discuss how to develop our relationships from strength to strength especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Every goal has a starting point. Just take the first step. My husband and I have organised a schedule for a series of articles of various relationships. Four weeks per relationship, every Sunday (if Allah Wills) It is online to allow anyone and everyone to obtain the articles in their own convenient time. May Allah accept Ameen.
