POEM OF THE MONTH: JANUARY 2015: BELIEVE IN YOURSELF Believe in yourself. Believe in your abilities and your capabilities. Do not let hurtful words get to you. Make it strengthen you. At times I say to myself Im useless. BUt then I remember my brothers and sisters in war and poverty. Yet they do not let there situations affect them. Instead they fight back. They work. They go to schools and institutions. Even if the whole world is against you. Let people say what they like. You have Allah. Thats all you need. That is whom you ultimately have. So Trust in Him and then you. Close your eyes. Breathe. Bismillah. Blossom
POEM OF THE MONTH: FEBRUARY 2015: DEAR FUTURE SPOUSE Dear Spouse, Do not love me for how I look like. For indeed my looks will fade. I may not be the prettiest person on Earth. But Allah created me how I am and He is the Creator and Most Beautiful. I thank Him. Love me for me. I love you for you. If I do something wrong. Tell me or give me an eye look. Be my mirror and I be yours. Be my best friend. Open your heart to me and I to you. Lets help each other strive for Islam and reach our goals: Jannah. I don't love you because of whether you had money or not, mansion or not, car or not, your looks or not. For your character and piety shines like a sun in the sky. I will try my best to raise the next generation by balancing the deen and duniya. But we do it together. Hand in Hand. Support each other. Islam has given women their rights filled with equality and no oppression. So follow Islam and do not follow the culture. For indeed culture is beautiful when it comes to food, dress and traditons But do not allow it dominate our life more than Islam. Do not break my fragile heart. For indeed Allah answers the supplications. The best example is of Khadijah and Muhammad peace be upon him whose life was filled with respect, love, care and Deen.
POEM OF THE MONTH: MARCH 2015: A GARDEN OF ROSES A Garden of Roses. Like no other. I met and saw one of the roses 10/11 years ago when I was in Year 9. We had an immediate attachment She was the rose. I was the stem. Some when viewing nature, they have a sense of happiness. I saw this particularly with this rose as I look above to it. Throughout the seasons, her colours shine brightly. The rose was not like a typical rose whose petals died out in winter or any other season. She was a rose that held its petals tightly having faith in Allah subhanahu wa taala. A rose who will always remain a rose. When suddenly Allah sent a strong wind; the beautiful rose held its petals together and flew away. As she flew away; glitter was left behind. The rest of the roses and other types of flowers watched her go. I could not see the rose; but I felt her presence. Tulips, Daffodils. Daisies all tried to comfort me as they saw my stem without the rose. Nothing could fill the position. I then saw other roses that looked just like her. Mother Rose. Father Rose and Siblings of roses and her Husband Rose. Their character reminded me so much of the beautiful rose. It gave me comfort, I then understood why the rose was so beautiful. All due to Allah and the environment she was brought up in and her family ma sha Allah. Their strength. Their imaan. Their speech. Their kindness. Their hospitality. Mother rose especially reminds me so much of the rose. Sometimes I felt like I was talking to the rose herself. Marwa rose. Sarah rose. Basma rose <3 <3 <3 They helped me in so many ways that will remain between both families. They were like a second family to me. We helped one another. Do you know which rose and her family i am talking about? Farah and her beautiful family. May Allah protect them, grant them patience and reunite us all with the rose in Jannah Ameen.
POEM OF THE MONTH: APRIL 2015: THE ART OF PATIENCE It may seem like one word. But its meaning and wisdom is more. It is a virtue. When the clock ticks, time doesn’t matter. When the reward for patience is given by Allah subhanahu wa taala. We weren’t promised this life would be easy. However we were taught that patience is a virtue. It creates an artpiece of bright colours. These colours connatate peace and strength. We are in control of the paintbrush. How we make use of it will depend on the outcome of the artpiece. It takes practice. Walk but don’t run. Broken wings will be fixed. Healed. You will fly again. By Allah’s Grace. Have faith. All in good time.
POEM OF THE MONTH: MAY 2015: BENEATH THE DEEP SKIN Allah created us with different shades of colour. We are all beautiful in our own way. When someone makes a comment regards to your colour and beauty. They are in fact criticizing the creative skills of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. When you make or see someone make fun of somebody's physical appearance. Recall how beloved Julaybib RA was to Allah SWT and His Messenger pbuh. This day and age, grains of pride have been germinated in a small minority of the Ummah. People lose their self-esteem as a result. They either darken their skin with sun rays. Or lighten up their face with foundation. Be you. Let us look beneath the skin. We all have flesh, bones and blood. We need to focus on beautifying our hearts that reflect our characters. When we become older, beauty will fade. Even Allah SWT looks at our hearts. Let the words of mankind blow in the wind.
POEM OF THE MONTH: JUNE 2015: GOING THROUGH THE STORM When your body and heart aches; Your voice shakes; The tears fills your eyes It blurs your vision to see what’s in front of you You drop on your knees. Your in the perfect position to pray.

POEM OF THE MONTH: SEPTEMBER 2015: HAJJ Millions of people. Rice and poor. All races. All ethnicities and all kinds, Come to seek Allah's mercy. Some saved money for years to go. It is a place of unity. A place of reviving the heart. A reminder of your purpose and what you are. That you are a nobody without Allah. That you are a servant of Allah alone. That you worship Him alone and seek none pleasure but His. Hajj. 4 letter word but a time of experience that cannot be forgotten or challenged.
POEM OF THE MONTH: OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2015: FAILURES Oh Allah, many times I have failed you. Yet You continue to have mercy upon me and bless me. What could I do without You. Most Gracious. Most Merciful.
POEM OF THE MONTH: DECEMBER 2015: A year has passed, a new year begins
Looking back. A year has passed. A new year begins. Gift yourself the freedom of space and time. Reflect on the previous 12 months. Look into the mirror. See your reflection. What do you see?
I did the same too. As I gaze at myself in the mirror, I contemplated. I contemplated on the good times. How it enriched my life. A smile appeared on my face. I also reflected on the testing times. Allah was there and still being here. I thank you Allah for every blessing including the blessings in disguise. You know that I don’t know. Always have the intention to improve yourself for the better. Think of action points that will help you achieve your objective. Be optimistic. Allow the negative comments strengthen you to prove them wrong. And also prove yourself that you can do it by Allah’s Grace. A year also passes and my beloved Farah is not present. The specific gap in my heart that cannot be replaced by anyone aches. I miss her dearly but patience is virtue. We are all travellers. I can only pray that Allah grants her Jannah and protection always. Who knows when our journey ends? Allah alone.
Many families have been broken due to war, poverty, illness, and other reasons. And many other families have had new additions. Life and Death. Death is inevitable and there is no hiding nor running away. The life that succeeds it is eternal. Thus, we must strive with all our might to fulfil our purpose in life to worship Him and perform good deeds. I pray for the Ummah plenty of success in reaching your fondest goals. Peace. Happiness. Contentment and much more.
